This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) governs your use of FitSignal and supplements our Terms of Service. By using FitSignal, you agree to comply with this policy.
Prohibited Uses
You may not use FitSignal to:
Spam & Unsolicited Communication
- Send surveys to individuals who have not consented to receive communications from you
- Use purchased, scraped, or harvested email lists
- Send surveys for purposes unrelated to product feedback (e.g., marketing, sales outreach)
- Circumvent unsubscribe or opt-out mechanisms
Abuse & Harmful Content
- Collect personal data for purposes other than product feedback and PMF measurement
- Upload or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, or harassing
- Use the Service to discriminate against individuals based on protected characteristics
- Create surveys designed to deceive or manipulate respondents
Illegal Activity
- Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
- Facilitate fraud, phishing, or identity theft
- Collect data from minors (under 16) without verified parental consent
- Process sensitive personal data (health, political, religious, biometric) without explicit legal basis
Technical Abuse
- Scrape, crawl, or extract data from FitSignal (except via the authorized API)
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
- Introduce malware, viruses, or other malicious code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
- Perform load testing or stress testing without prior written approval
Rate Limits
FitSignal enforces rate limits to ensure fair use and protect service quality for all customers. Current limits are:

Exceeding rate limits will result in temporary throttling (HTTP 429 responses). Sustained or deliberate abuse of rate limits may result in account suspension.
Account Suspension & Termination
If we determine that your use of FitSignal violates this AUP, we may, at our discretion:
- Warn: Notify you of the violation and request corrective action within a reasonable timeframe.
- Suspend: Temporarily suspend your account or specific features until the violation is resolved.
- Terminate: Permanently terminate your account for severe or repeated violations.
We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking action, except where immediate action is necessary to protect the Service or other users.
You may appeal a suspension or termination by contacting support@fitsignal.com within 30 days.
Reporting Violations
If you believe another user is violating this AUP, please report it to support@fitsignal.com.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 14 days before taking effect.
